What reminded the British of 1857 – Bombay Mutiny of 1946

Image
India got its freedom on 15 th of August 1947 and the sole credit for this gigantic feat goes to the persistent and unflinching passive resistance spearheaded by Mr Gandhi and his dear Mr Nehru. But as a matter of fact the Britishers were not so done with their hunger for exploitation neither the passive resistance was something unknown to them. So, what went so uneasy for them ? why were they in a haste ? and finally what made them realise that they could no longer be the masters ? source-google,used for representation purpose Pages of history had all the desired answers in them for years although they were never opened in front of our eyes. If at all they had been unfolded, how would have the future democratic subjects ,accepted the democratic tyranny. Well i am talking about the Bombay mutiny of 1946,which never appeared on any textbooks and if at all did, it was just lying as a doormat with no attention. This incident although was the real cap of the Indian freedom stru...

The 26/11 attacks that shocked the entire nation , took away the attention from infiltrations through the fences to infiltration through the coastal area ,it was that time when  Md. Ajmal Amir Kasab and his fellow fanatics made us realize the importance our maritime security and the lacuna we had developed in so many years ignoring the sea  security image source:-  joinindiancoastguard.gov.in The establishment of the Indian Coast Guard was first proposed by the Indian Navy to provide non-military maritime services to the nation. In the 1960s, sea-borne smuggling of goods was threatening India's domestic economy. Meeting a PARAM VEER CHAKRA AWARDEE : A LIVING LEGEND

Image
I have always believed that the real heroes of the nation are the soldiers of the country who risk their lives for our security. They are the ones who ensure that the people of the country sleep peacefully in their homes at night while they have to be awake and vigilant at the borders in hail or storm and in extreme weather conditions. These heroes are the one who made me idolize them and aspire to be a soldier myself someday. One year ago, I went to Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir for a holiday with my uncle who is an army officer. The beautiful place not only offered beautiful scenery to enjoy but a lovely surprise for me which I will cherish for my entire life. We were staying at the Srinagar Army  Transit Camp. Army Transit Camp is a place where hundreds of soldiers and officers stay while transiting in and out of the Kashmir valley. I was really excited to see so many soldiers in battle fatigues getting primed to go for action. I got to know that Subedar Yogendra Singh Yada...

INIDA STANDS STIFF WITH AFGHANISTAN TO FIGHT TERRORISM

Two years after announcing its decision to gift Afghanistan four attack helicopters, India has decided to step up its military assistance to the war-torn country and help get six of its Soviet-era combat helicopters back into service. An Indian Air Force team, it is learnt, recently visited Afghanistan to assess old helicopters in the Afghan Air Force inventory. On return, it concluded that some basic work on the choppers could be done in India, but the complete overhaul would have to be done in Russia. Government sources told that based on this assessment, New Delhi decided to hold talks with Moscow to reach an arrangement through which India could foot the bill for the repairs in Russia. In 2015, India decided to gift Afghanistan four Mi-25 helicopters, a gesture that was made public when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kabul in December that year. The Afghan Air Force has deployed the four choppers, all of which were delivered last year, in active combat operations. Th...

Major strategic breakthrough : "PROJECT HIMANAK"

Image
World's highest motorable road was constructed by BRO in Ladhakh region of J&K . The road being in close proximity of INDO-CHINA border will be of great strategic significane .The road passes through Umlinga Top at a height of 19,300 ft. Close to Hanle, the strategic road connects chisumk village and the demchok village located 230 kms from leh , close to the indo -china border . The construction of such a road where temperature is in -10 to -20 and dips further down to -40 degree during winter is a remarkable feat by the BRO. The construction was prone to challenges like the high altitude, harsh weather, lack of oxygen which is generally just 50% less than the normal oxygen. Getting supplies and machinery on top were also difficult and the machine operators had to come down every 10minutes to get oxygen, overcoming such hinderances the BRO made it possible
